Dr. Karen Farris Presents at MCubed Symposium; How Texting Can Help Improve Medication Use
Dr. Karen Farris, Charles R. Walgreen III Professor of Pharmacy Administration & Associate Chair for Professional and Graduate Education, presented her work on improving medication use via text message at the MCubed symposium in November 2013. This innovative project combines artificial intelligence programming with messages developed by expert health communicators in a text messaging system developed to improve medication use by individuals using hypertensive medications.

The two-year seed-funding program, MCubed, is designed to empower interdisciplinary faculty members at the University of Michigan to pursue new initiatives that will have great impact on society.
