Interdisciplinary REU participants will be housed in the Ecumenical Center and International Residence (ECIR).  This residence will give Interdisciplinary REU students an informal opportunity to interact with residents from a variety of cultural, racial and religious backgrounds.

Interdisciplinary REU participants will reside together in 2 – 3 bedroom apartments.  Each student will have a private bedroom within the apartment.  The bedrooms are equipped with a desk, shelves and a storage space.  The apartments are fully furnished and feature a living room, dining area, kitchen and full bathroom.  The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator and microwave oven as well as basic cooking and eating utensils.  All units are air conditioned and are cable and phone ready.  Bed linens (sheets, pillows, blankets) are provided.

The ECIR will provide Interdisciplinary REU students with a relaxing atmosphere for informal group interactions.  The main floor of the facility features a television lounge, reading room, community kitchen, dining room and recreation room.

Students will have access to a coin operated laundry facility and a storage room.  Free parking is available, but spaces are limited.

The ECIR is a 5 minute walk from central campus and a 10 minute walk from the Central Campus Recreation Building (CCRB).  Students will have the option of purchasing a summer recreation pass (~$80) for unlimited use of CCRB.
