A treasured part of the PharmD experience at Michigan is our Pharmacy Phamily program. We recognize that transitioning to a professional program can be challenging! Students are supported holistically by their phamily - We don’t just want to bring you into our program, we want to see you succeed in the program.

Upon entering their P1 year, each student is assigned to a Pharmacy Phamily, made up of a P2, P3, and P4 student along with their faculty mentors to help them engage and be supported right away in the program. Phamilies meet for social outings, help with selecting classes, advice about the program, life in Ann Arbor, or whatever you need.

The connections you build with your Pharmacy Phamily not only last during your time at Michigan, but also are the basis of a strong network after you graduate. As you were supported by your fellow classmates, you in turn will share your insight with your classmates as you progress through the PharmD program.

Hear from one Pharmacy Phamily in the video below, and read about the success of the program from a scholarly article published by our students.
