Bachelors Program Admissions
Are you ready for a world-class education rooted in the basic sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, research, and pre-health professionalization?
Applicants to the BSPS program are invited to apply as First Year Students or as Transfer Students (both current University of Michigan student "cross-campus transfers" or as transfer students from another college or university). First Year Students must apply by the Office of Undergraduate Admissons Regular Decision date of February 1. Transfer Students must apply by March 1 (there are different application forms depending on the type of transfer; transfer applicants must have completed at least one full semester of college courses at U-M or at an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution). The College of Pharmacy only accepts students for Fall term entry.
Students interested in the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences program must apply through the U-M Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Review the sections below and visit the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for more information and how to apply.

- Instructions for First Year Applicants
Students who submit an application before they have received a high school diploma will apply as a First Year Student.
Application requirements:
- Completed Common Application with $75 application fee payment
- High school transcript (additional requirements by country)
- School Report (Common App)
- One Teacher Evaluation (core academic teacher or other non-relative who can speak directly to the student's academic aptitude, potential, and classroom performance )
- SAT or ACT score, if available and you wish them to be considered, or other test results like PSAT, if available
- TOEFL, IELTS, or MET, etc. scores (for non-native speakers of English)
- Official college transcripts (for high school students dual enrolled in a college or university; additional requirements by country)

- Instructions for Cross Campus Transfer students (currently attending UM)
University of Michigan Ann Arbor students must complete the Office of Undergraduate Admissions Cross-Campus Transfer Application.
Application requirements:
- Cross Campus Transfer Application form (completed online)
- U-M Transcript, which will be added to your file by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
- Official transcripts from other institutions, if applicable (email or mail directly to Office of Undergraduate Admissions - addresses below)
- One letter of recommendation. Letter may be sent in sealed envelopes with recommender’s signature over the seal directly to Office of Undergraduate Admissions (address below) or emailed directly from the recommender to [email protected].
- Essays:
- Essay 1: Everyone belongs to many different communities and/or groups defined by (among other things) shared geography, religion, ethnicity, income, cuisine, interest, race, ideology, or intellectual heritage. Choose one of the communities to which you belong; describe that community and your place within it. (completed online - 250 words)
- Essay 2: Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the College of Pharmacy. How does the BSPS curriculum support your interests? (completed online - 500 word maximum)
- Resume or CV (completed online)

Students not currently attending the University of Michigan Ann Arbor must complete the Common Application for Transfer Students via the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Application requirements:
- Common Application for Transfer Applicants form (completed online)
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended, including high school (email or mail directly to Office of Undergraduate Admissions - addresses below)
- One letter of recommendation. Letter may be sent in sealed envelopes with recommender’s signature over the seal directly to Office of Undergraduate Admissions (address below) or emailed directly from the recommender to [email protected].
- Essays: There are several required essays (completed online)

- Transfer applicants are also instructed to provide a statement that addresses your reasons for tranferring and the objectives you hope to achieve (completed online)
- Resume or CV (mail directly to Office of Undergraduate Admissions - address below)
- SAT or ACT scores (if taken in high school). Send test scores directly to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor: SAT code is 1839; ACT code is 2062.
- International students are required to submit scores from TOEFL, IELTS, or MET. Contact Undergraduate Admissions for more information.
- Application Fee is $75
