Office of Community Health and Engagement
At the U-M College of Pharmacy, it’s in our DNA to not only prepare our students to lead at pharmacy’s edge but also give back to the communities we call home. The Office of Community Health and Engagement (OCHE) makes that happen – by providing a lineup of experiences for PharmD students, including:
- Vaccine Clinics
- Health Screenings
- Medication and Sharps Takeback Events
- Health Information Fairs
- Student-Run Free Clinic

The Office of Community Health and Engagement is committed to fostering relationships based on mutual trust with individuals, groups, and community partners. Our goal is to collaboratively address community-identified issues that impact well-being, focusing on improving access to care, meeting health-related needs, and reducing health inequities.
We believe that our students play a crucial role in this mission. By engaging in community service, participating in experiential learning opportunities, and contributing to public health initiatives, students at the College are equipped to become change-makers in their communities. Our commitment to student development ensures they have the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to make a significant impact on community health and to help solve health-related challenges both locally and nationally.
