The PharmD program at the University of Michigan uses the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS), a centralized application service for applicants applying to colleges and schools of pharmacy.
Beginning with the Fall 2017 admissions cycle, the University of Michigan will participate in the Early Decision program with PharmCAS.
Materials to be submitted directly to PharmCAS include all official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and PCAT results. We advise that you take the PCAT in July — no later than November — in order to ensure that test results arrive in time to meet our January 5 deadline.
In addition to sending your application to PharmCAS, you must also send a UM Pharmacy Supplemental Application (PSA) directly to the College of Pharmacy. PSA materials include a personal statement that is specific to UM, and a resume.
Receipt of the PharmCAS application and the UM Pharmacy Supplemental Application will be acknowledged via email. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all materials are received by the deadline. Complete applications will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and selected applicants will be invited for an interview. On-site interviews are a required component of the admissions selection process. Interview candidates are notified of their application status approximately one week after the interview.
