Arab American Pharmacist Association
The Arab American Pharmacist Association at the University of Michigan was founded in 2020. Our student chapter falls under the parent branch located in Dearborn, Michigan. We are a community-orientated, non-profit organization. AAPA’s purpose is to implement community outreach and educational services in our local communities. Our events include health screenings, volunteering at free clinics, hosting flu clinics, translation services, and career fairs/mentoring at high schools. We are also building a pharmacist-student mentoring program, which will give students the unique opportunity to be paired with a pharmacist in different specialties. Lastly, AAPA was founded to build a sense of community, and that community begins within our College. We hope to plan social events within the College of Pharmacy and other graduate student organizations. This will allow students to meet new people on campus and build lifelong relationships.
