The College Introduces Career Connections
The College of Pharmacy is pleased to announce Career Connections, a new program designed to serve the professional development and career planning needs of our students.
This program falls within the Office of Student Affairs. For the PharmD students, these career support services will be managed by Julie Geyer with Rachel Miller providing administrative support. The PhD services will be facilitated by Antoinette Hopper and Cherie Dotson in conjunction with the graduate programs.
The team’s focus will be connecting students with employers in pharmacy and pharmaceutical science professions, tapping into the college’s vast network of preceptors and alumni. We will offer our students and potential employers access to an electronic job board, and host on-campus interviews and job fairs. Also, we are planning professional development events and career exploration activities to prepare students for the job market. Many of these events will be provided in collaboration with student organizations and the Student Services Committee.
If you learn of job or internship opportunities, or if you have suggestions for how Career Connections can best meet your needs, email us!
Thank you in advance for your support of these efforts to assist our students in finding their dream jobs!
