Albert B. Prescott Society Celebration
In 1876, at the University of Michigan, Albert B. Prescott established the nation’s first college of pharmacy at a state university. As the first dean of the college, he introduced the concept of basic science education a prerequisite to practical training for those pursuing a pharmacy degree and transformed pharmacy education in America.
The Albert B. Prescott Circle, named to honor his leadership, recognizes those who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the College.
As is our tradition, the Prescott Celebration is a way that we honor donors to the College. Our next celebration will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
