Summary

As the Development Assistant for the Advancement team, Christina is responsible for office administration, prospect research, alumni relations support, event planning assistance, and support of philanthropic and stewardship efforts.

Christina holds a BS in Food Technology and Management from Michigan State University. She has worked in many industries over the years, including food processing, food safety, biotechnology, and staffing/recruiting. 

Christina has been a successful small business owner since 2009. She is actively involved in her community, serving as a member of the Brighton Optimists Club, a Science Olympiad Coach, and a participant and officer with multiple school PTOs. Currently, she holds the position of Vice President of the Brighton Orchestra Boosters.

When not working, you'll find Christina in her kitchen. She loves cooking and has been a golfer since she was 11 years old. A mom to four, she and her family love to spend time together and with their two pups, Toby and Rosie.

Overall Role

The Development Assistant will work with the Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations to perform sensitive and confidential duties requiring discretion, independent judgment, and decision-making skills. The professional in this position must be detail-oriented, calm under pressure, multitask and prioritize, and demonstrate sound organizational and communication skills. The candidate will also assist the development team in a highly collaborative manner for various projects, events, and programs.
