The Research Forum serves as an opportunity for students to present their PharmD investigation projects to the public.

The University of Michigan College of Pharmacy Research Forum will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 in the Ballroom at the Michigan League from 3-5pm. College faculty, students, staff, alumni, and friends are invited to attend. The Research Forum serves as an opportunity for students to present their PharmD investigation projects to the public.

“The Research Forum showcases mentored research conducted by PharmD students as part of our curriculum”, explains Bruce Mueller, PharmD, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Pharmacy, College of Pharmacy. “Every fourth-year PharmD student will be presenting their projects at the Research Forum.  Nearly half of these students have already presented their research at a national professional meeting”.

“The College values research as an important part of the PharmD curriculum,” continues Dr. Mueller. “The fact that we value research as essential to our curriculum is unique to Michigan. While other schools teach evidence-based medicine, we challenge our students to make new evidence themselves for others to use. The research thread in our PharmD curriculum enhances critical thinking, scholarly inquiry, and leadership”.
