  • Preceptor of the Year Award

Preceptors play a critical role in the education of our students. The experiential education component comprises almost one third of the College of Pharmacy PharmD curriculum. Furthermore, our volunteer faculty preceptors teach a large percentage of both our IPPE and APPE practice experiences. Without our dedicated preceptors, we could not provide students with such a diverse array of excellent rotation opportunities.

Each year we recognize one preceptor who has shown outstanding support for our students and our program.

Preceptor of the Year is an honor bestowed upon one exceptional College of Pharmacy volunteer faculty preceptor. Recipients are not only excellent role models for PharmD students, but have demonstrated commitment to the core values of the College of Pharmacy.

  • Nominate Preceptor of the Year

Nominations due by 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Preceptors are nominated by their students or peers. The nominees are then reviewed by the Office of Experiential Education and peer-reviewed by the Experiential Education Committee and a recipient is selected. The honoree is awarded a plaque and monetary recognition at the annual Preceptor Education and Recognition Symposium.
