BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Welcome to our tight-knit undergraduate degree program rooted in the basic sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, research, and pre-health professionalization!
The Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) program in the College of Pharmacy prepares students for professional health programs like pharmacy school (PharmD), medical school (MD), and dental school (DDS); pharmaceutical industry positions in areas such as research & development, manufacturing, and business; and graduate studies (MS, PhD) in disciplines like medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy.
Graduates attain comprehensive training across the University as a part of the general education, science, mathematics, laboratory, and elective degree requirements while BSPS core courses enhance their understanding of drug discovery, delivery, and utilization. The College of Pharmacy provides opportunities to participate in undergraduate research, honors thesis projects, professional development seminars, student organizations, student government, and college-wide committees.

How to Apply: Students interested in the BSPS degree program should apply by the deadlines found on the BSPS Admissions Page. Students are admitted for Fall term start only.
Note: Graduates of the BSPS program are not eligible for licensure as pharmacists; the next step would be a PharmD program.
