Dr. Allison Blackmer Receives Research Grant and Recognition from A.S.P.E.N

Allison Blackmer, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacist at U-M Health System, is a candidate for the Harry M. Vars Award.
The Vars Award serves as a tribute to Dr. Vars and his seminal contributions to the development of total parenteral nutrition. Dr. Vars’ work exploring the role of intravenous nutrition in wound healing was an important catalyst in the development of parenteral nutrition.
The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.) is dedicated to improving patient care by advancing the science and practice of nutrition support therapy and metabolism.
