Dr. Rola Kaakeh, who completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Health Services Research in 2011, has published “The Art of Pharmacoeconomics: A guide to getting started.”

The book takes a macro-level approach to the methodology, skills, and personnel needed to perform and evaluate pharmacoeconomics research. This book speaks to the art, and not just the technical features, of the discipline. The book's objective is to inspire the reader to see the world of healthcare decision-making a little differently. It serves as a guide to the key elements that go into the process of conducting and evaluating pharmacoeconomics analyses and provides the reader with the framework and tools needed.
