Katie Gatwood, PharmD'13, was recognized by the Pharmacy SIG of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) with the 2021 New Practitioner Award. The New Practitioner Award is presented to an ASTCT Pharmacy SIG member who is within the first five years of his/her career and who has made significant contributions to the field of hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

Dr. Gatwood is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist practicing as a Clinical Pharmacist in Adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She received both her undergraduate and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Michigan. She then went on to complete both her PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Oncology residencies at University of North Carolina Health Care in Chapel Hill, NC.
