College Hosts Annual White Coat Ceremony
Each year, the College celebrates the beginning of students' pharmacy education at the University of Michigan with the donning of their first white coat. Students were welcomed into the profession by U-M Pharmacy graduates, including keynote speaker Catherine Jarvis, PharmD'92, Michigan Pharmacists Association CEO Larry D. Wagenknecht, BSPharm'79, and Alumni Board of Governors representive Joan K. Bradley, PharmD'90. A very special element of our White Coat Ceremony happens when a new PharmD student has a family member who is a pharmacist. Mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, and siblings welcome the P1s into the world of pharmacy by helping them into their first white coat, a symbol of their role in the healthcare team and professionalism. Join us in congratulating and welcoming our P1 students to the College!
