The Maria Luz Ali Ajami Memorial Fund has been created at the College of Pharmacy with the goal of creating a permanent scholarship in Maria’s name.

Maria Luz Ajami, Class of 2013, passed away unexpectedly in June just as she was finishing her PGY2 residency at Wisconsin.

Maria had a passion for advancing the profession of pharmacy and displayed a willingness to lead both at her time in Michigan and in Wisconsin. Maria was beloved by many and was a great friend and colleague who would reach out a helping hand to others in need. She had an incredible desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

At the urging of many family and friends, the College established a memorial fund in Maria’s name. The Maria Luz Ali Ajami Memorial Fund has been created with the goal of creating a permanent scholarship in Maria’s name. If you wish to make a gift to the fund, please click here or mail a check to the U-M College of Pharmacy, 428 Church Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48109 attn: Pharmacy Advancement.  Checks should be made out to “Regents of the University of Michigan” and note “Ajami Fund” on the memo line.

Dr. Ajami leaves a legacy of excellence. She strived to be her best and in the process, inspired excellence in all those around her.
