Transportation to Towsley will be available for individuals who attend the MLK Keynote Memorial Lecture in Hill Auditorium at 10 am.  Buses will depart from Hill at ~11:30 and ~11:50.

Dr. Jeanne C. Sinkford is Associate Executive Director of the American Dental Education Association, and Director of the Association’s Center for Equity and Diversity.  She is also Professor and Dean Emeritus of the Howard University College of Dentistry. 

Dr. Sinkford’s distinguished career in dental education includes serving as the first woman dean of an American dental school. She is a member of the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Scholars and a life member of the National Dental Association. Dr. Sinkford has more than 100 articles published in refereed journals and has co-authored two seminal reports related to women’s health. From 1992 to 2011, Dr. Sinkford was responsible for diversity programming and initiatives at the American Dental Education Association. Under her leadership, ADEA created numerous opportunities for the advancement of women and underrepresented minorities. In 2015 Dr. Sinkford was honored with an American Dental Association Distinguished Service Award and an American Dental Education Association’s William J. Gies Award for Vision, Innovation and Achievement for Outstanding Vision by a Dental Educator.
