In April, we welcomed Dr. Fang Ke who is a Research Investigator, to the Sun Lab.  She will be working with Wei on her newly awarded grant.  Please be sure to say hello when you see her.

March 2024

This month we are saying goodbye to Yingzi as a post doc in the lab who has received a position with the FDA, however she will still come to the lab sometimes to finish her thesis so we will get to see her for a few more months.  Congratulations on the new position, Yingzi!

Chengyi Li completed his defense and has received his Ph.D.!  Great job, Chengyi!  He will transition in a post doc position in the Sun Lab and plans to work through the end of the year to finish a few papers and projects before continuing his career in academia.

January 2024

This month we said farewell to John Takyi-Williams who received a great opportunity to work in industry, but he will remain local and look forward to hearing from him often.  We wish him well and can't wait to hear how his new position is going very soon!

Yingzi completed her defense in December and has not joined the lab as a research fellow this month.  We are happy to see her continue her research in the lab for a few more months.  Congratulations, Yingzi!

August 2023

We were able to welcome back Djibo Mahamadou as a postdoc to the Sun Lab this month.  Djibo joins us again after a brief break outside the country but is looking forward to jumping back in without missing a beat.  Please welcome Djibo back when you see him.

We welcomed postdoc, Weijia Zheng, to the lab in late August.  She will be working in the PK Core.  Please be sure to say hello to Weijia and help to show her around.

July 2023

In July we said goodbye to Ankha Lkhagva who received a position out in industry, but before we did his replacement he helped to train started.  Shengnan Duan, a postdoc, joined us just after the 4th of July holiday.  Please say hello to her when you see her.

We said farewell to Wenjing Zhang who accepted a position in industry.  Best of luck to her and her new endeavors!!

We have two new employees joining the lab this month.  Qiuxia Li is a lab tech working in the PK Core and Farzad Sarkari, also a lab tech, working in the main lab and will help in PK Core as well.  Please say hello to these two new lab members and help to show them around.

This month we saw Hongxiang Hu successfully complete his defense, but we also had to say goodbye as he has accepted a position elsewhere.  Congrats and good luck, Hongxiang!

We also said goodbye to Yudong Song, who has also decided to move on to work on other research.  Best of luck to you, Yudong!

Djibo Mahamadou has decided to go back to his home country, so we are saying farewell to him this month as well.  Good luck in the future, Djibo!
