February 12, 2024

The College of Pharmacy is proud to announce that Antoinette Coe, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, has been selected as an American Pharmacists Association Academy of Pharmaceutical Research and Science (APhA-APRS) Fellow.

This award honors APhA members for exemplary professional achievements in professional practice and/or research and outstanding service to the profession. She is one of two named as a fellow by the APhA-APRS this year and among a total of 12 fellows in the 2024 class.  Recipients will be officially recognized during the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Orlando, FL, March 22–25, 2024.

Dr. Coe is devoted to improving transitions of care and ensuring safe, effective medication use in older adults, particularly in those with cognitive impairment. Her research focuses on improving medication use through pharmacist-provided comprehensive medication reviews and medication management.

She also works to identify community-based strategies and interprofessional models of care to prevent medication-related problems during care transitions. A third strand of her research examines the impact of policy on medication and health outcomes. Her work aims to implement and disseminate evidence-based interventions to improve health and medication use in older adults that address health disparities.

Coe joined the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy in 2016 and completed post-doctoral training as a 2016-2018 Clinician Scholar in the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation (IHPI) Clinician Scholars program. In 2018, she transitioned to an Assistant Professor position.

Please join the College in congratulating Dr. Coe for this well-deserved recognition.
