I am a pharmacist and completed my PhD here at the University of Michigan with theoretical training in social psychology and health behavior. My research and teaching focuses on social theories to examine how individuals manage their medications and the roles of pharmacists in influencing medication use, including medication adherence and public health issues. Regarding medication adherence, I have completed studies examining symptom experience, beliefs in medicines and medication adherence as well as development and publication of the Medication Adherence Reasons Scale.
