College of Pharmacy Plans Alternative PharmD Commencement

April 13, 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, all previously scheduled commencement ceremonies have been cancelled University-wide. In an effort to recognize the accomplishments of the PharmD class of 2020, the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy is hosting a virtual celebration.

Students, families, and friends are invited to visit pharmd2020.phar.umich.edu beginning April 25 at 2:00 PM.

The website will contain congratulation videos from faculty, staff, and alumni and prerecorded speeches from some of the original event speakers. Visitors can learn more about the class and where they are going after graduation through an interactive pin board map. The site will also honor year-end award winners.

Students and their well-wishers should use #UMCOPGrad with their commencement related social posts for a chance to be feature on the commencement website. Users must have a public account for the College to highlight their posts.

Though we all cannot gather together commencement this year, we can still give the Class of 2020 a virtual standing ovation!
