Alumni & Friends Beat the Heat at the 19th Annual Pharmacy Golf Scramble
June 29, 2022
On Tuesday June 21, the U-M College of Pharmacy hosted its 19th Annual Alumni & Friends Golf Scramble at Washtenaw Golf Club in Ypsilanti, MI. Despite the heat, the event was well attended by alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the College, who were enthusiastic about the return of the outing after a two-year hiatus.
The Alumni Society Board of Governors participated in the event and volunteered their time to help with registration and the reception, where skill-based awards like closest to the pin, longest drive, first place team, and most spirited team were announced. Thank you to local businesses and donors like Weber’s Inn, M Den, Washtenaw Golf Club, the Graduate Ann Arbor, and Drs. Drew and Margo Bowman for providing the Golf Scramble with many of the awards.
We would like to share a heartfelt thanks to our Title Sponsor, Birdi, Tom Bostwick, PharmD’05, and Rich Grossman, BSPharm’79. With additional special thanks to our Cart Sponsor, Magellan Rx Management and to our other generous sponsors JB Ashtin, Pharmacy Solutions, Brett Fennelly from the Fennelly Agency Farm Bureau Insurance, Brown’s Advanced Care, Weber’s Boutique Hotel, Christopher Robertson, PharmD’98, Drew Bowman, PharmD’12 and Margo Bowman, PharmD’12, and our returning Putting Contest sponsor Sandra Chase, BSPharm’83.
The College would like to express its gratitude to each member of the Alumni Society Board of Governors and scramble volunteers for their time and efforts in support of this event.
Proceeds from this event support the education of those seeking careers in the profession of pharmacy or as researchers in basic science and drug design. Your support helps keep the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy among the top professional schools in the world.
Lastly, we would appreciate your feedback on the golf scramble via this survey. Whether you have attended in the past, attended the most recent outing, or have an interest in attending in the future – this 5 minutes and will help us create a roadmap as we consider opportunities for 2023 and beyond.
