Summary
As Assistant Program Manager for Dedicated Programs and Assessments, Megan manages programming for the College of Pharmacy such as the:
Pharmacy Scholars Program - month-long summer pre-pharmacy program open to college juniors, seniors, recent graduates, and those considering a career transition to pharmacy school
Postdoctoral Collegiate Fellows Program- program aiming to increase the representation of future faculty in STEM by establishing a pathway for scholars interested in a career in academia, and whose work will enhance the diversity of the academic community
McKesson Health Equity Speaker Series- rotating speaker series on topics of health equity and social determinants of health
She also serves on the College's DEI and Staff Development Committees, where she leads the subcommittee for bias prevention in recruitment and hiring. Her additonal responsiblities include serving on university-wide committess like the MLK Health Sciences Planning Committee and the Summer Research Collaborative, and organizing additional events and programming throughout the school year. Megan holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education, along with two Graduate Certificates in Hidden Student Populations and Facilitating Career Development from Oklahama State University. She received her B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Policy from the Unviersity of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
When not working at the CoP, she enjoys taking walks around campus or Nichols Arboretum, visiting Ann Arbor's many local shops and resaurants, reading fantasy or science fiction books, and spending time with her cats, Toast and Olive.
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm (remote on Fridays)
Overall Role
The Assistant Program Manager supports the development and implementation of several programs, including Pharmacy Scholars, Post-doctoral Collegiate Fellows, the McKesson Health Equity Speaker Series, and Community Support Connectors. They will also work with Communications to develop the College's DEI Communication strategy. The Assistant Program Manager will work closely with the Asst. Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to manage moderate to complex projects and perform related administrative duties.
