Their story starts far before they were hailing “Go Blue” at the Big House and staying up late to cram for their medicinal chemistry final in PharmD school.

Dr. Lee credits her PharmD for getting her foot in the necessary boardrooms to make her successful company happen.

Veterinary pharmacy isn’t a well-known path, so Gabby knew if she wanted to pursue a road-less-traveled, she would have to treat it like riding a horse: always get back on after falling off and never give up.

Kadouh says the support and mentoring she received from faculty at the College inspired her to want to do the same for others.

In late August, first, second and third-year PharmD students took to community and hospital pharmacy locations all over southeast Michigan for the annual Pharmacy Community Connect Day.

That drive to take untraditional paths fueled Koontz’s successful career, but she says she wouldn’t have had the foundation she needed without her degree from the College of Pharmacy. 

Through a required community outreach clinic, second-year PharmD students experience working side-by-side with an interpreter while providing primary care.

Blodgett says it’s the education and leadership experiences she gained at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy that prepared her for this next step.

“I would recommend the University of Michigan to anyone,” Senneff reflected. “It can prepare you for any type of career you want in pharmacy.”
