Fast Track to a PharmD
A Faster Path to Pharmacy
Interested in becoming a pharmacist? With the Fast Track program, start your Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) one year early while completing your Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) – saving you time and money.
Is Fast Track Right For Me?
Save Time
Pursuing a bachelor’s and PharmD typically takes eight years. The Fast Track model lets you start the PharmD program one year early while completing your bachelor’s – shaving off an entire year, getting you in the field as a pharmacist in as little as seven years!
Save Money
The Fast Track program allows you to double count 15 credits between the bachelor’s and PharmD – only requiring you to pay for the credits once!
Explore Opportunities Early
Between the PharmD program’s experiential education opportunities and commitment to hands-on learning in the community, you will kickstart these experiences a year earlier.
Lean into Mentorship
Our PharmD’s Pharmacy Phamily program pairs you up with peers and a faculty mentor to help guide you through your educational experience. With the Fast Track program, take advantage of this perk early while completing your bachelor’s degree!

How Does Fast Tracking Work?
To Fast Track, you must:
- Earn a minimum of 105 credits by the end of your junior year
- Complete all PharmD prerequisites by the end of your junior year
- Apply and be admitted to the PharmD program a year early
You will begin your PharmD during the senior year of your bachelor’s program, and your senior year BSPS core course requirements will be waived.
