Pennie is a member of the College of Pharmacy management team with responsibility for overseeing administrative services operations and human resources. She also works with the dean, associate director for finance and human resources, management team, and key stakeholders to plan and monitor the College's budget. Her role involves the development, communication, and enforcement of policies and procedures; facilitation of efficient workflow across different work areas and functions; data collection, maintenance, and usage; problem resolution; HR oversight and sensitive issues; performance evaluation systems; space planning; budget; and initiatives and activities that are intended to have a positive impact on the College's culture and climate. Pennie reports to the dean, and the following teams report up through her: dean's office administrative support, finance/human resources, facilities/lab safety, and information technology.
To participate as a member of the management team of the College of Pharmacy, overseeing operational, budgetary, and human resources issues, policies, and unit goals/objectives/strategic plans.
- Oversee administrative service operations and participate in initiatives and activities that are intended to have a positive impact on the College's culture and climate
- Work with others to plan, project, monitor, and maintain the College's budget and participate in making decisions and creating/modifying processes and policies that impact the budget
- Direct the administration of human resources for the College
