Summary
Mark Nelson is the Assistant Dean for Student Services and Admissions at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. Dean Nelson leads the team responsible for all student services functions for the College's degree programs including recruiting, admissions, onboarding, orientation, records, financial aid, professional development opportunities, and graduation. His role involves supporting students on their academic journey, PharmD absences, student conflict resolution, enrollment management, and academic and personal advising. His experience on the UM campus spans five decades of increasing responsibility supporting students, faculty, and student affairs staff.
WORK SCHEDULE: typically 8am-5pm in person when not on the road recruiting.
Overall Role
Work with deans, staff, and faculty to strategically identify, develop, implement and manage college priorities regarding outreach and recruitment; admissions; advising; and quality improvement for the undergraduate, professional, and graduate degree student services programs of the College of Pharmacy.
