Summary

Markie is a strategic communicator and brand storyteller with expertise in professional writing, marketing and television journalism.

As the Content Marketing Manager for the College of Pharmacy, Markie’s passion lies in storytelling. He shares the remarkable achievements of faculty, staff, students and alumni, highlighting the innovative work being done to advance health outcomes. In addition to this, Markie oversees social media and print content for the College.

Before joining the College of Pharmacy, Markie served as the Marketing Communications Lead at GreenStone Farm Credit Services in East Lansing, where he developed and implemented a new media relations plan and contributed to the company's magazine. Prior to GreenStone, he was a television news producer in Lansing, MI, and Saginaw, MI.

Markie holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Communication and Journalism from Central Michigan University.

Outside of work, Markie enjoys sipping on iced lattes from local coffee shops, staying engaged on social media and spending time with his partner who attends the University of Michigan Medical School (Go blue!).
