Summary

My mission is to improve the pain experience of vulnerable populations, such as older adults and cancer survivors, by ensuring all patients receive the right treatment at the right time. I view this mission through my deep experience as a clinical pharmacist, researcher, and educator. My goal is to better the lives of patients with pain, particularly centralized pain, through the appropriate use of medications (opioids and non-opioids), and developing clinical decision support systems for patients and physicians to support their journey.

I achieve this work through my appointments as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and and as a Research Health Scientist in the Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center of the LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI.
