Summary

Madison is an equity-focused higher education professional passionate about access and retention. She is currently the Assistant Program Manager of the CoP’s new summer program, Pharmacy Community College Connect (PC3). As a member of the DEI unit, she also helps to advance the annual DEI plans for the College of Pharmacy in collaboration with the DEI working group. As of January 2024, she has also started advising the Multicultural Pharmacy Student Organization (MPSO).

 

She earned her Bachelors in Sociology at Ohio University (OU) and discovered her passion through benefitting from and working for student success programs such as the OU Office of Multicultural Student Access and Retention's LINKS Scholarship program, the TRIO program, and the Cats' Cupboard Food Pantry.

A graduate of the University of Michigan’s Marsal School of Education, Madison earned her Master's in Higher Education. At U-M, she interned in assessment and evaluation at UM-LSA, supported first-generation college students in the UM-COE’s 1st Gen Engineering program, and conducted and published research with the UM-COE Tandem research group.

Overall Role

The Assistant Program Manager supports the new Pharmacy Community College Connect, PC3, Program. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the Assistant Program Manager collaboratively manages the PC3 program, including helping to develop goals and execute plans to meet the program objectives. PC3 includes a10-week on campus program for students, partnerships with 2-year institutions, and the PC3 Advisory Board.
