Summary

As the Research Project Manager for the Manzor Mitrzyk lab, Jennifer works under Dr. Beatriz Manzor Mitrzyk using a community-engaged approach. The research focuses on identifying gaps in care, assessing health disparities, and developing and implementing interventions to improve health outcomes. In addition to research, Jennifer supports Dr. Manzor Mitrzyk's clinical work at the Community Health and Social Services Center of Detroit, MI on collaborative drug therapy management for underrepresented patients with diabetes and hypertension. Jennifer is also responsible for coordinating the growth of the Manzor Mitrzyk lab and onboarding new students. 

Jennifer earned her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, focusing on Health Behavior and Health Education. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys reading, staying active in a local sports league with her friends, and spending time with family.

Overall Role

Conduct research combining technology, data, and clinical interventions to improve quality and safety in the medication use process. The successful candidate will work directly with the PI and key members to recruit patients, collect patient data, analyze data, draft grant proposals, write peer-review manuscripts, supervise and train students, and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple funded research projects.
