Summary

Dr. VandenBerg received her BS in Biological Psychology (1994) and her PharmD (1999) from the University of Michigan. She then completed PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy residencies at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and has been a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist since 2001. In 2002, she took on the role of Pharmacy Clinical and Operations Coordinator for the MUSC Institute of Psychiatry and served as Residency Program Director from 2004 through 2016. In 2016, Dr. VandenBerg returned to Michigan as an inpatient clinical specialist for psychiatry and neurology services and established the PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency in 2016. In 2020, Dr. VandenBerg joined the College of Pharmacy as Clinical Associate Professor. She serves as Senior Editor for the journal Mental Health Clinician and Assistant Editor for the DiPiro textbook Pharmacotherapy, a pathophysiologic approach.
