Policy

Chairs:

The Policy Chairs work to provides information, education, and advocacy to empower members to improve medication use, advance patient care and raise societal awareness about the role of pharmacists as essential in patient care for optimal medication use.

The Policy Vice President spearheads our chapter's involvement in advocating for our profession through the political process to ensure the government recognizes the value of pharmacists and the service we provide to our patients. The chair is responsible for organizing student pharmacist participation in Pharmacy Day at the Capitol.

All APhA-ASP members are also members of the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF), whose goal is to encourage cooperation to improve the profession of pharmacy.  A unique aspect of IPSF is the Student Exchange Program (SEP), which allows student pharmacists from all over the world a chance to experience pharmacy outside their own borders. Our chapter members have traveled to the UK, Spain, Portugal, and the Czech Republic through SEP.
