On February 3, LCDR Tiffany Pfundt, PharmD'11, PMP, stopped by the College to share how she found her niche in non-traditional pharmacy and offered advice to students on how to network naturally.

LCDR Pfundt is the Project Manager Team Lead (PMTL) for the Division of Bioequivalence II (DBII). She has been with the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Office of Generic Drugs (OGD) since September 2014 and in her current role as PMTL since November 2015. She was commissioned as an officer in the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) in February 2016.

In July 2019, LCDR Pfundt joined USPHS’ Rapid Deployment Force 3 and has been deployed twice since joining the service. To support the clinical skill proficiency needed for deployments and for her own professional development, LCDR Pfundt practices pharmacy twice a month at the Joint Base Anacostia-Boling Air Force Base in Washington, DC.

LCDR Pfundt has always had a passion for leadership development and has been privileged to participate in multiple formal leadership training opportunities at FDA, including the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research’s (CDER) Emerging Leaders Program, OGD’s Leadership & Coaching Professional Development Program, OGD’s Quad Coaching Program, FDA’s Project Management Certification Program, and Lean Six Sigma Certification, among others. To share this passion with others, LCDR Pfundt completed the Arbinger Institute’s Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset and Outward Leadership facilitator programs and has facilitated eight leadership workshops for fellow officers, civilian colleagues, and personal acquaintances. She also enjoys mentoring and precepting students.

Prior to joining the FDA, LCDR Pfundt worked at a health economics and outcomes research firm in Bethesda, MD as a pharmacy consultant and project manager. She earned her B.S. in Biology in 2007 and PharmD in 2011 both from the University of Michigan.

LCDR Pfundt currently lives in Washington, DC.
