It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 37th Annual Pharmacological Sciences and Bio-related Chemistry Symposium to be held on Friday, March 31st, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Palmer Commons, 4th floor Great Lakes North, Central, South, the Atrium, and Forum Hall.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. John Lowe, MD, Senior Director of Pathology at Genentech, presenting: "Glycoengineering in Pharma and Biotech: Therapeutics, Diagnostics and Basic Science"

The symposium will also feature a speaker on ethics relating to the pharmacological sciences, several student speakers, as well as a combination luncheon/poster session in which graduate students from multiple University of Michigan departments are encouraged to present their research.  A call for abstracts and abstract submission details will be released at a later date.

The Pharmacological Sciences Training Program (PSTP) is funded by the NIH. The training grant provides scientific training and financial support for select graduate students in the Departments of Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Toxicology, and Molecular and Integrative Physiology. The symposium offers a forum for students across multiple disciplines to present their original research and engage in stimulating scientific discussion.
