What to Expect in the Application

PC3 is a five-week hybrid and commuter program for tribal and community college students to explore all the paths a pharmacy career can take! Depending on where a student resides, they commute to the University of Michigan or their closest partner institution.

The College of Pharmacy hosts a cohort on the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor campus along with a cohort at Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

At PC3, you will:

  • Learn from Speakers: CoP alumni working in the profession, clinical and research pharmacists, current CoP students and more
  • Take Engaging Courses: Non-credit courses in pre-pharmacy requirements including biology, chemistry and math
  • Benefit from Mentorship: A behind-the-scenes look at pharmacy school from current PharmD students
  • Visit Pharmacy Sites: Michigan Medicine, FDA District Offices, clinics and more!
  • Shadow Researchers and Practitioners: A peak behind the curtain with PhD researchers and practitioners in clinical care and community care settings
  • Take Part in Workshops: Learn about U-M programs, and key pharmacy topics
  • Earn a Stipend: Students receive a stipend and monetary support for commuting

After completing year one of the program, you are invited back the following summer for a more in-depth look at pharmacy and mentorship to help set you up for success in pharmacy school!
