The University of Michigan holds orientation programs to acquaint transfer students with the educational facilities of the University, help them with testing and registration procedures, and introduce them to the social program of student activities. The College may also hold an orientation program at the beginning of the academic year. Incoming transfer students should plan to be in Ann Arbor for the one-day summer orientation program. The Orientation Office will notify all newly admitted students about the dates for the program. Students who cannot attend the summer program participate in the fall orientation program. The summer
program gives students the opportunity for an individual counseling
period with their adviser and for early selection of classes for
the fall term. Registration information, forms, and assistance may be obtained in the College of Pharmacy Academic Services Office. Before registering for a term, students should first see their assigned College of Pharmacy advisor for advice about course planning. Advisors help in selecting appropriate required and elective courses and monitor progress toward degree requirements. Students who are considering a change in courses during a term also should consult with their advisor to discuss the implications of the proposed change. A student who registers or changes a course without consulting a College advisor will assume personal responsibility for satisfying degree requirements on schedule.
