Student Financial Aid
Financial aid available to pharmacy students at the University of Michigan includes scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs for undergraduate, professional, and graduate students. Fellowships and assistantships are available for Rackham graduate students. Students admitted as undergraduates (i.e., those who have not completed a degree program before entering the Pharm.D. program) may apply for federal and institutional grants, federal loans, and work-study employment through the Financial Aid Office. Students admitted at the graduate-professional level (i.e., those students who have completed a degree program), third- and fourthyear Pharm.D. students, and Rackham graduate students, may apply at Rackham for federal loans and work study. Eligibility for the aforementioned forms of financial aid is limited to full-time students who are either U.S. citizens or permanent residents, or those holding immigrant visas. Applicants must submit both an application, preferably the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available from the Financial Aid Office, and a financial statement. To learn more about programs, application procedures, and financial aid deadlines, write to the Financial Aid Office. To be considered for endowed College scholarships (see the list below), Pharm.D. students must complete and submit a signed College Plough Scholarship application and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per term in the third and fourth years of the Pharm.D. program. For more information about these and other financial aid programs administered by the College, contact the Academic Services Office at the College of Pharmacy.
