Degree Programs: Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Pharmaceutical Engineering

The M.Eng. in Pharmaceutical Engineering degree program is an interdisciplinary program of the U-M Colleges of Pharmacy and Engineering. The goal of the program is to prepare a new generation of pharmaceutical and engineering professionals who can adapt to rapid changes in science and technology which characterize modern pharmaceutical and life sciences related industries.

Students in this program develop their knowledge in both the theory and practice of pharmaceutical engineering. The program includes diverse and relevant courses in biology, chemistry, engineering, and pharmacy, as well as internships in the pharmaceutical industry. Students enrolled in the College of Pharmacy's B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program, and related fields, can complete the requirements for the B.S. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and the M.Eng. in Pharmaceutical Engineering in five years. Pharmacy students should apply to the program during the first semester of their first year at the College of Pharmacy.
